Expected value is an average, not a prediction

Every EV figure on this site is the mean of pulls we have actually recorded. It describes what a large number of rips would average, not what your rip will return. Most individual rips return less than the average, because a small number of high-value pulls carry it. A pack with an EV ratio above 1.0 can and frequently will lose you money.

We publish median values, dilution and floor cover alongside EV precisely so that the average is never read on its own.

Our data is incomplete, and we say where

• Everything is indexed from a single source. There is no second feed to cross-check against, so an error at source becomes an error here.
• We do not see every pull — only those the source publishes. Our sample is not the whole population.
• Pack prices are not exposed by the data we index and are recorded by hand. A pack without one cannot be ranked at all, however many pulls it has.
• We publish no resale value, liquidity score or time-to-sell, because no such data is available to us. Those fields are marked unavailable rather than estimated.

Verdicts are withheld more often than they are given

A pack only receives a verdict when its sample, freshness and data quality clear documented thresholds. Packs that do not clear them are shown as NO DATA or as an early read, and are excluded from rankings. This is deliberate: a confident label on a thin sample is worse than no label, because it is the label that gets acted on.

Where AI is used, and where it is not

Every metric on this site is computed by fixed, documented formulas. AI is used only to explain those already-calculated numbers in plain language. It does not produce, estimate, adjust or invent any metric, verdict, price or probability shown anywhere on PullValue.

Spend responsibly

Opening mystery packs carries a real risk of loss and has structural similarities to gambling. Never spend money you cannot afford to lose, and never spend to recover a previous loss. PullValue offers optional budget limits, cooling-off periods and a self-lock, and it will recommend waiting when the data supports waiting.
